Data privacy is a matter of great concern these days, especially when you are hearing a lot of news about data theft or hacking. The majority of these cases pop out due to the realm of the internet and source of connection. In simple terms, if you are connected to any public Wi-Fi or unconfirmed source, then the risk of data leakage is quite high.
To prevent such mishaps from happening, the concept of VPN was developed. Not only do these VPNs mask the IP address of the device (be it PC or mobile device), they prevent your internet provider from accessing the search history and thus provides complete user privacy.
But there would be times when you would prefer not to use a VPN. Thus, in our blog of the day, we would be discussing further disabling VPN on iPhone.

- A better VPN service provider recommendation is received by the user.
- Turning on to the primary service provider to access some of the pivotal websites that need IP addresses.
- Deleting the current VPN due to the slowdown of the system.

Using the default VPN feature
This is one of the simplest methods to deactivate the VPN from your device unless you do not want to revert the process. Go for the following steps:
- Unlock your device and go to Settings.
- Locate the VPN option.
- Hit on the toggle to turn off the VPN.
This disconnects the VPN and you can any day reactivate it by hitting the toggle to turn ON.
Using Demand VPN Setting
There is another option called Demand VPN setting on the iPhone. Go for the steps given below to use it:
- Unlock your device and go to Settings.
- Go all the way down to General Settings and open the General section.
- Locate the VPN option and identify the active connection in the device (can be distinguished by blue tick mark).
- Click on the ‘i’ button near the active VPN option.

- Go back to the main settings and then flip the toggle of the VPN.
Therefore, now your device would never get connected to the VPN automatically. Every time it needs your permission or you need to activate it manually.
The manual process within the app
You can also choose to manually turn off the VPN from the app. Just enter it and hit on the power button shown on the welcome screen. Click on the confirm prompt and the VPN would turn OFF.
But this method might not work, because a majority of VPN apps have the habit of turning ON automatically after the device gets connected to the internet.
